Find God Elsewhere

Uttarkhand is known as Dev Bhumi, but now in the future it would have a completely different identification. The incident has shaken every individual. And we cannot even imagine the state of the people who witnessed it live. This tragic incident will make its place in the history books. Thanks to all the wonderful people who went there in search of God. And, I pity the young kids who lost their families and the irony is that they are unknown to the meaning of God and pilgrimage.

For God sake stop finding God at pilgrimages. I sometimes wonder who actually took this wonderful initiative of making pilgrimages, and that too at the most scariest places of all. Hats off to them as they very calculatively chose the spot to make sure it becomes a herculean task. It seems less of a journey to salvation (who knows about it) and more of a journey to death bed. And we all go to these places with all the enthusiasm, as if God is hosting some show called ‘Khatron ke khiladi’, and in return he would be rewarding us. Yes! These journeys have been rewarding many times and this time the reward is beyond calculation.

I don’t understand why we all fall in trap of this process. I can bet that whether its young or old generation everybody is aware of the fact that God is present everywhere, God is Omnipresent, but still we go there thinking that only blessed gets a chance to make this journey. This superstition people are carrying with them from centuries. The incident of Uttarakhand proves that the people are blindfolded by superstition. I think Mr. Superstition has read the theory of Charles Darwin, ‘Survival Of the Fittest’. Its time people stop nurturing their superstitions.

I feel very sorry for the people who lost their lives and family members.
